Ho'olehua Hawaiian Civic Club 2013
Molokai meetings are held every 2nd Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. uitilizing the Kalanianaole Hall that has been renovated for use for meetings and funerals. We have been busy with various functions throughout the year.
December 2012 we assisted the Native Hawaiian Scholarship ‘Aha prepared and fed 75 applicants & family. New officers were elected for 2013-2014.
March 23, in celebration of Prince Jonah Kuhio we held our Rummage sale booth. Many homesteaders were involved with various booths.
April received correspondence from Ho‘olako Na Kiwila Hawai‘i for $1,500 Grant. Decided on Kulolo, Ochie Bush would be manager in charge. Booklet “Ai Kulolo Mai, Molokai completed, demonstration in May. Mahalo to Isaiah Ka‘aihui for his assistance in our project. July community service by several members assisted at the “Weekend of Hope”, items issued were shoes and backpacks for children, canned food, bags of rice, noodles, etc. were issued to families.
Congratulations to the AOHCC Kaua‘i Council for hosting this year’s convention.
Several of our members are looking forward to attending the 54th Celebration at the Kaua‘i Marriott in November.
