Ke Ali'i Keopuolani Hawaiian Civic Club 2012

The Ke Ali‘i Keopuolani Hawaiian Civic Club overcame many obstacles to officially organize on March 10 of this current calendar year. Working with communities throughout the Midwest and two HCCs on the ‘aina, we forged ahead with plans to charter as a new club within the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs and were successful in our efforts, upon acceptance into the organization on July 21.
We remain ha‘aha‘a as we continue on the path to growing our HCC and spreading aloha throughout the state of Minnesota. Through our most recent efforts, we have seen a massive growth in membership, nearing 100 individuals, making the Ke Ali‘i Keopuolani Hawaiian Civic Club the largest HCC east of the Rocky Mountains.
We maintain our strong pili wehe ‘ana ‘ole with our ‘ohana throughout the Midwest, through the hui ‘ana we maintain with the five HCCs with whom we formed and chartered at the same time. These include the HCC in Milwaukee, WI, Elmwood Park, IL, Sioux Falls, SD, Kansas City, MO and Indianapolis, IN. Our ties to this HCC ‘ohana will be pau‘ole.
The future of the Ke Ali‘i Keopuolani Hawaiian Civic Club is bright, as we align our focuses to bring the mo‘omeheu of Hawai‘i Nei to our communities here in Minnesota and to support the efforts of our HCC ‘ohana throughout the Midwest.
