We have a saying in our club “We make lemonade.” There is no time for negative thoughts or actions. We make the best of whatever our circumstances are. Therefore, we have held regular meetings every odd numbered month. We continued to hold cultural workshops in partnershipp with Ali'i Pauahi HCC and Hilo HCC in Wailea at Akiko’s Bed and Breakfast. We have participated in the Merrie Monarch Parade, held an Ipu Making Workshop, a Mai Ka Po A Ke Ao Workshop and a Lauhala Weaving worship for our members and the community at large. We awarded two post high school scholarships to graduating seniors from Laupahoehoe School. We have been active in community affairs in helping to convert the Laupahoehoe School into the now Laupahoehoe Commuity Public Charter School.
