The Maui Council, comprised of Lahaina Hawaiian Civic Club, Central Maui Hawaiian Civic Club, Ho‘olehua Hawaiian Civic Club, Lana‘i Hawaiian Civic Club, Kuini Pi‘olani Hawaiian Civic Club and Hulu Mamo Hawaiian Civic club looks forward to an exciting convention in Washington DC. Our clubs have been very active raising money, living our culture, teaching and learning. The individual clubs report their activities in their reports included in this convention booklet. Maui Council has been actively planning for the 2014 convention.
Maui Council Clubs participate in Kamehameha Day festivities on our various islands, Kuhio festival on O‘ahu, Ali‘i Sundays on O‘ahu, Maui and Moloka‘i; and some of the clubs have applied for and receive a Ho‘olako grant.
Finally, the Maui Council is made up of four geographic Hawaiian Civic Clubs – named after their specific location headquarters (Lahaina <Originally West Maui HCC>, Central Maui HCC, Ho‘olehua HCC and Lana‘i HCC) Maui Council also has two thematic Clubs; Kuini Pi‘olani HCC and Hulu Mamo HCC). Our Council would welcome folks desiring to create geographic civic clubs (connected to an area within the Maui Council) and thematic civic clubs.
Once again congratulations to Na Lei Makala Pua Council and Ke Ali‘i Maka‘ainana Hawaiian Civic club! Aloha!
